case study

J.P. Westall, Hexham - Whitley Bay

Location: Whitley Bay
Heating System: Oil fired, with 15 radiators
Contractor: J.P. Westall, Hexham

Problem:

Alan Heslop of Westalls had made many visits, but could not rectify the problems with an oil fired heating system that suffered from:

  • BANGING AND RATTLING
  • INCONSISTENCIES IN THE SYSTEM - HALF THE RADIATORS WERE NOT EVEN HEATING.
  • THE SYSTEM WAS VIRTUALLY UNCONTROLLABLE.

Solution:

Westalls decided to install the Tadpole. After the tadpole was installed as per instructions it was noted that:

  • THE PUMP WAS RUNNING ALMOST SILENTLY
  • RADIATORS WERE HEATING UP VERY QUICKLY
  • ALL RADIATORS WERE HEATING TO AN EQUAL TEMPERATURE
  • THE WHOLE SYSTEM WAS RUNNING ALMOST SILENTLY
  • THE HOUSE WAS WARMER THAN EVER BEFORE

The owner has also reported that his bills are now lower, that whole house is warm and the hot water is heating and recovering faster.
